About
My 35-year architecture career has also led me down a very fortunate path. Drawing and designing beautiful luxury custom homes across Canada. I was trained in classical architecture, which is architecture based on human proportion, I never had much interest in designing high rises, I like my architecture to relate to our human scale. Over the years I have developed a keen interest in ancient architecture. Both the Greeks and the Egyptian cultures particularly fascinate me.
My architectural design has taught me how to work with math, proportion, and geometry. I utilize these tools every day. My architectural designs are first conceived in my mind. The second step is to build the design in your mind, and the final step is to produce a set of blueprints that define the measurements and details of the building. The architectural drawings define the geometry and proportions of the building and its elements. Lines, geometry, and proportions harmonize to become a building in reality.
If we consider this architectural concept further, Mother Nature has used these same measures, geometry, and proportion to construct the earth, the universe and life itself. Vitruvius, the great Roman Architect believed that the human body’s symmetry and proportions could be used as a model of natural proportional perfection in both architecture and nature.
I love to draw, I still draw by hand, and I believe that working with geometry every day in my job is what has led me down this quest for sacred knowledge. I have thoroughly studied the pyramids and ancient sites of Egypt. I have written books on sacred geometry and a monolithic stone cross found on Oak Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been published in many design magazines for my architectural work.
But in the last 10 years, my passion for sacred geometry and knowledge has really been a driving part of my whole being, it has given me a new perspective in my daily life. This website is a way or me to share my discoveries with everyone. I hope you enjoy.
